A
few things others have said about us...
"I have
a love/hate relationship with the Dal
Rae. I love it because being in the
restaurant business, restaurants can be
too intellectual for me. Food has become
so complicated. I don't like to go out
and intellectualize over what I'm going
to order all the time. At the Dal Rae,
the food is so comfortable. It's very
forthcoming, very straight-forward food.
I always have the Hearts of Romaine Salad
with the Old Fashioned Blue Cheese and
the Pepper Steak. I hate the Dal Rae
because I can't duplicate the Pepper
Steak. I know what the flavors are, but
it never seems to taste as good when I
make it.

"Dal
Rae in Pico Rivera has survived four
decades by serving food that is rich,
complex and surprisingly good
a
flavorful blast from the past, and rich
beyond my wildest dreams.

"The Dal Rae
in Pico Rivera is a throwback that never
went out of vogue a cozy room with
a subtle charge of Vegas-like energy and
excellent entertainment.

The
Dal Rae is, if anything, an
institution.
